oh weep for Rusden.
Oh weep for Rusden she is dead, oh weep for Rusden through our tears ,thaw not the frost that binds so dear a head. Today was the last day of Rusden and I made a last visit with Matt Delbridge to pay our respects to that extrordinary place that has been such a significant part of so many lives. What a time we have had and how much we achieved ,,,,so to that higher force that guided our years in that place...thank-you...... and to Rusden I say thank-you. I loved you greatly xxxx

We are all so fragile .
We humans are so fragile, each of us balances the tight rope of existing all in bits and pieces for that extra degree of difficulty against the background of uncertainty and life truly is a mystery. If we could deal withourselves more gently, realise that the rights of one are the rights of the other then so much the better but unfortunately pathology overides reasonable commonsense and bizarre group behaviours lead us away from our humanity. What is our global war machine if not a tangible symbol of our pathological global deathwish. The twentieth century should have clearly demonstrated the staggering obscenity of human warfare. Have we not yet learnt? We must say no to war.

deeper
I cannot remember not being able to read or write, by the age of three ,words took a clear shape in my mind. I remember a picture book, A is for apple Z is for zebra, i was so hungry for the pictures. Words flowed from the intelligence around me, they were an assumption, keep up or you will be lost, understand or we might not find you....I lived around a great deal of conversation, always around and what was necessary was the sound of language, the play of the body around language, the force of your sound rather than what you said,the laughter and talking with eyes ,,always eyes,deep eyes, and hands...laughter and talking with hands....and I remember !....we did not talk to explain but to feel together and be one thing...and this was what words were for...............I spoke two languages Swahili and English...............

one of those days .
Just one of those days to reflect on the difficulties associated with administering one's life. Absolutely the most simple concepts and outcomes require an inordinate amount of effort,to the extent even where art looks easy in comparison and that just reminds me to beware of falling into method.

today
Its been ten years since i have been in Melbourne over the xmas, new year , january period and its been really quite peculiar,almost as if i have'nt known my own home town. I live on a frenetic traffic intersection that over this time has been operating on o whole other equation in a country town somewhere....i really quite like it but am alarmed that its all going to go back to the main game for another eleven months....and wasn't the smoke shrouded city strange yesrerday...i wonder where we are going?

general stuff
Have been off-air for a few days....had dinner with Howard Stanley the other night....he has such a great way of thinking.....very cool night....uncanny how he has been thinking about puppetry and visual theatre......very intrigueing.... also got new ultra violet material for the site,,,very exciting stuff...a couple of little quicktime movies from "map folding' they look great...should be up in the next week or so. Terrible fires raging
