The Bush question answered !
 George Bush in his defence of the Iraq question asks "Who can possibly think the world would be better off with Saddam Hussein still in power ".....well I am not an apologist for Saddam Hussein but I believe the invasion was morally bankrupt and that a more effective course of action would have been to continue diplomacy and weapons inspections...the total anarchy that has now broken out in Iraq is a serious indictment of the failure of the coalition .....a total stategic failure as well!

 Bush's speach to defend his decison to invade Iraq was simplistic and inane...his portrayal of Saddam as a madman was a case of the pot calling the kettle black....I am convinced that Bush is a pathological simpleton....meanwhile the most poor and disadvantaged groups underwrite this wasteful war politics to the tune of 167 billion dollars and the rich get tax cuts !....meanwhile a world bank/U.N. report finds that a further 36 billion will be necessary for infrastructure in Iraq ?....imagine the application of 167 billion dollars to social expenditures in the U.S.....the profligate waste is staggering !

 Desperate for anything to cling to George Bush seized on the finding of a single vial of botulism in his public response to the Iraq Survey Groups interim finding....it later emerged that the vial had been sitting in an Iraqi scientists fridge for more than ten years....the fact that it was a low potency material used both in vaccinating livestock as well as human cosmetic surgery was not mentioned....both Mr Bush and Jack Straw the British Foriegn Secretary have used the vial of botulism to maintain the scare campaign they have been running to justify the Iraq invasion. Theses men are pathological liars !

 Robin Cook who resigned his position in opposition to the Iraq invasion has published a memoir that lifts the lid on pre-war deception of the British people and mounts a scathing attack on the Primeminister Tony Blair......Cook makes it quite clear that Blair did not really believe that Iraq was a clear and present danger in the weeks leading up to the invasion ....Cook says " I am certain that the real reason that he went to war was that he found it easier to resist the public opinion of Britain than the request of the U.S. president."......and so he conned the British people !

 prior to the invasion Bush characterised the U.N. as being irrelevant , inept , lacking moral fibre ,amongst a range of other percieved shortfalls....now when he wants their desperately needed support he has not the diplomatic skills to pull it off.....his treatment and misuse of the U.S. veto in the security council is a further recipe for disaster.... Remember... Iraq's infrastructure was largely blown away by the Coalition...
 The idea that Iraq should somehow payback the money necessary to repair their infrastructure seems hardly fair....they are already crippled by reparations from the first gulf war...and who unnecessarily destroyed the infrastructure ?..in an enourmous error of judgement it was the coalition !....was it necessary to inflict so much damage on the water and electricity system ?.....No , of course it was not neccessary....the whole invasion has been so ill conceived and that becomes evermore obvious daily !

 Bush in a desperate bid to staunch a bleeding Iraq has appointed Rice to head up the new Iraq stablisation group.....seizing total control from the failed and discredited Rumsfeld....it is not going to make a great deal of difference...the administration is yet to deal with their own gigantic failure of judgement in invading Iraq in the first place.....ethnic tensions between the Kurds and Turkomans , Sunni's and Shi-ites, and the increasing geurilla war are beginning to reach new and disturbing proportions.....the coalition have laid the seed bed for the kind of problems the USSR experienced in their invasion of Afghanistan.....an insoluble quagmire !

 Bush is a loser..his popularity is running like piss in a urinal....to hear his self serving waffle about the interim report from the Iraq survey group was laughable....anyone that takes this idiot literally is an idiot themselves...the only justification for the invasion of Iraq was that that country posed a clear and imminent threat to the security of the coalition nations ...that has been clearly proven false....any argument that Iraq might have proven to be dangerous later is irrelevant and should have been dealt with diplomatically.....there was absolutely no justification for the Iraq invasion...and to think of all those poor souls who have lost there lives over a fiction drives me crazy....my primeminister John Howard is just as culpable as Bush and Blair.

 in an all to familiar story President Bush has lost his way on his so called roadmap to a settlement in the middle east....not one U.S. president has had the moral fibre or intellectual rigour to guide a settlement between the Palestinians and Israel...instead they have toyed with the issue primarily for its vote winning status....an issue to manipulate when their popularity is waning....none have held a consistent and ongoing concern with the tragedy that has and continues to unfold in this conflict....we need a President who will apply themselves rigourously to the problem and George Bush junior is not that President....I thought Howard Dean was spot on in his contention that an impartial umpire is needed...!
